It was a good thing for the yogurt stop…

…or else I wouldn’t have found out about the Liz Gilbert lecture tonight!  I stopped by Thomas Sweets after work for some fro-yo and in the process picked up a copy of the U.S. 1 magazine on the counter.  Happened to notice that the author of Eat, Pray, Love was giving a lecture at the State Theater in New Brunswick at…7:30 pm.  As the story goes, I made it there, thought she was wonderful, and waited in line afterwards to get my book signed.  Loving writing means a kinship to other writers, especially ones whose books have inspired you along the way.  More on Liz tomorrow.  T’was a good night. 🙂

Meeting Liz Gilbert at the State Theater/New Brunswick 2.23.10 (who brought the Eskimo!?!)

Found this book in '06 when I was working on my Roadtrip Nation project and it inspired me greatly. Feeling blessed to now have it signed.

    • Can’t tell you how excited I am that you’re checking out my blog, Chrystal!! Liz was so awesome (and funny) in her lecture; I would’ve liked to have conducted a Roadtrip Nation interview. Maybe someday me & you could do a “part deux” together, what do you think?
